Vancouver’s biggest cultural street festival returns to Little Italy on Commercial Drive as Italian Day is set to take place Sunday, June 12th from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Join 300,000 Vancouverites as they celebrate Italian culture and heritage in a day of authentic food and drinks, captivating performances and interactive activities.
This year’s theme is Mangiamo! Let’s Eat, a celebration of Italian cuisine that goes beyond the food that’s on your plate. It’s about conversation, celebration, spirit, family and community, coinciding perfectly with the recent designation of The Drive as Vancouver’s own “Little Italy”.
Whether you’re in the mood for pizza, pasta, cannoli, arancini, salumi, coffee, granita or gelato, there’s no better place to get your fix of authentic Italian snacks and drinks. Sit at one of the seven piazzas and enjoy the European atmosphere and ambiance.
And with three stages along Commercial Drive, don’t forget to check out theatrical and pop, opera and jazz musical performances with Italian Canadian stars like Federico Fuoco, Carmelina Cupo, the Cory Weeds Jazz Quartet, Luna Rosa band and the Vancouver City Opera, and more. For the kids, there will be lots of interactive activities and games like bicycle polo, human foosball matches, hardest kick competitions and many others!

Given street closures and limited parking, Italian Day Festival organizers encourage attendees to walk, cycle, transit or Car2Go to the event (some Car2Go member parking will be available, as will bicycle valet at 1st & Commercial). The Skytrain station is located on Broadway & Commercial.
