Popular Cafe Brings Signature Handmade Sandwiches, Salads, Pastries to Three Fresh New Locations, Hosts Customer Appreciation Day on Fri., July 22
Building on an unprecedented year of growth and momentum, Railtown Cafe is set to make new neighbours across Greater Vancouver in 2016 and early 2017 when the beloved counter-service cafe lays down tracks to a trio of new locations.
Railtown will open the first of the three new cafes in the fall of 2016 in the heart of Downtown Vancouver with a 1,700-sq.-ft. space at 980 Howe St. with seating for 60 (including 15 on the patio), followed by a second, 1,200-sq.-ft. space at 1691 Main St. in the winter of 2016/’17 with seating for 30 (including 8 on the patio). The third Railtown Cafe location, which will take occupancy at 409 Granville St. and offer a 1,800-sq.-ft, 60-seat space (including 15 on the patio), is scheduled to open in early 2017.
Launched in 2012 by chefs Dan Olson and Tyler Day in Vancouver’s historic Railtown district — to complement their successful catering division, Railtown Catering — the flagship Railtown Cafe location has garnered a loyal fan base thanks to its trademark brand of fresh, healthy comfort food including made-from-scratch sandwiches, artisan bread and pastries, locally roasted coffee, cold-pressed juices and a lineup of local craft beer, wine and spirits.
Railtown, which enters its fifth year in business this August, has celebrated a number of milestones since its inception including launching a series of Saturday Tailgate Barbecue events in the summer of 2015 and adding Saturday service to its daily chef-driven lineup this past spring. The company also introduced gourmet Thanksgiving-, Christmas- and Easter-To-Go packages through Railtown Catering in fall 2015.
“We’re extremely excited to not only grow the Railtown brand but to introduce ourselves to some new local neighbourhoods in the coming months,” says Olson. “We look forward to fostering the same fun, friendly environment and sense of community for staff and customers in our new locations that we’ve become known for at our original cafe where it all began.”
Further details on all three of Railtown Cafe’s new locations will be revealed leading up to the opening of each.
CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY
