Building on the success of its regular Wednesday night (6 – 9 p.m.) Jazz performances by the Hip Pocket Trio , Provence Marinaside is set to take its commitment to providing live music one note higher by becoming an official venue of the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival which runs this year from June 22 through July 1. During the Jazz Festival, Provence will be presenting five special live music performances – four featuring Hip Pocket and one with local Latin combo Rumba Calzada.
“Guests have told me how much they enjoy the Hip Pocket performances – they really add to the ambiance. We have patrons who make a point of coming for dinner every Wednesday because of the music – it’s like a mid-week break,” says Provence Owner/Executive Chef Jean Francis Quaglia.
Led by multi-instrumentalist Adam Rohrlick (electric guitar and saxophone), Hip Pocket plays a mix of swinging’ Jazz, funky Blues and Contemporary instrumentals.
