Get Your Drink On! The Mixology Competition

Expanded from onsite at Hastings Racecourse and reveling in downtown Vancouver, join us from 11:30am – 4pm at Prohibition in The Hotel Georgia the day before Deighton Cup on Friday, July 20th. Sip signature cocktails as you watch 10 of the province’s top bar talents shake up their own unique take on the Traditional Rum Punch cocktail.

Tickets for this year’s competition include a welcome cocktail designed by Prohibition Head Bartender and Cocktail Jockey Judge, Robyn Gray as well complimentary canapes courtesy of Hotel Georgia.

This year’s anniversary celebrations will also include the return of renown mixologist and Deighton Cup Cocktail Director: Alex Black. We will be offering Rebel Yell Bourbon mint juleps in a commemorative metal branded cup to sip out of from the bourbon bar at Deighton Cup on July 21st. Each $25 upgrade includes the cocktail itself, as well as guaranteed access to the Cocktail Jockey competition happening the day prior. $5 from all upgrades will go straight to Variety the Children’s Charity.

The two Ticketing Types for Cocktail Jockey are:

1. 1. Cocktail Jockey competition ONLY on Friday, July 20th – $15. Only 50 tickets will be available for sale

Cocktail Jockey competition upgrade ticket for Deighton Cup guests who have already purchased a ticket to Deighton Cup. $25 and it includes the Signature Variety Charity Mint Julep in the commemorative Deighton Cup branded julep cup that they will get onsite at DC on Saturday, July 21st. Entry into the Cocktail Jockey Mixology competition at Prohibition is free with this upgrade.
