The Westin Bayshore’s H Tasting Lounge (HTL) — renowned for internationally-inspired food and cocktail temptations and its award-winning interior — celebrates Chinese New Year this February.

 

 

Every Saturday and Sunday between February 2 and 24 from 12 – 5pm, HTL’s popular afternoon tea service ($55/person) offers an array of authentic indulgences created by Executive Chef Alex Mok. The tea service’s signature carousel has been transformed into a “Wheel of Fortune,” spilling over with the flavourful likes of BBQ Pork Puff, a wide selection of dumplings and bao, Seared Nian Gao, “Iron Guanyin” Shortbread, and Water Chestnut Jelly. Refresh your palate between bites with premium Tealeaves Floral Jasmine Green Tea or Dragonwell Organic Green Tea.

As well, the HTL bartending team will be pouring the exclusive Year of the Pig cocktail ($16), crafted for the Lunar New Year and available exclusively during The Westin Bayshore’s celebrations. The complex concoction is a deliciously aromatic blend of Johnnie Walker Black Scotch whisky, golden apple and ginger-infused vodka, Buddha’s hand citron jelly, yellow chrysanthemum tea, and lemon juice.


H2 Rotisserie & Bar will ring in the Year of the Pig by complementing its sprawling, ever-popular Sunday Brunch ($39/person) with a variety of additional items just for Chinese New Year. From noon to 3pm on February 10 and 17, chef Caitlin Mark and her team will be serving up congee with traditional toppings, assorted dim sum, longevity noodles, “action stations” featuring made-to-order Peking duck rolls and bao buns, traditional desserts, and much more.
