Summer Cruising in the Acura RDX

RADICALLY REDESIGNED

Just as the very first Acura engineers sought to break free of the boundaries in their day, Acura lets their passion and rebelliousness run free in the RDX. The results shout for themselves through bold, aggressive lines and no-holds-barred looks. Welcome to the all-new RDX. Welcome to the next generation of Acura.

We just had the best time in the Acura RDX on a trip to Osoyoos. One of the members of our family was participating in a half marathon and the rest of us were along for the ride!

What a ride it was; smooth, relaxing, comfortable, safe and fun to drive. We really liked the LED lights which gave bright viewing when driving roads at night. The dashboard was easy to read with all the information you need right there in front of you with the colour head-up display (HUD) that projects helpful navigation information, speed and traffic signs, quick access to audio and phone as well as safety warning alerts onto your windshield into your line of sight.

The dashboard included all the information and what we needed.

Since we were travelling in some areas that were new to us we were so glad the Acura RDX had great navigation. Resting above the dash, in concert with the driver’s natural line of sight, a 10.2-inch HD display effortlessly delivers navigation, audio, 3D building and terrain information. No more distracting robotic commands and multilevel requests to find a destination.

You never travel light with children so lots of cargo space is a big plus.

Part of the safety, especially with children in the car, the AcuraLink™* features  remote door lock/unlock, automatic collision notification and real-time traffic reporting, the RDX enhances your AcuraLink™ experience with new features, including remote engine start, geo fencing, and Last Mile, which provides walking directions from your parking location to your final destination.

The child safety seats were easy and convenient to install in the Acura ADX.

Anyone with littles knows the importance of a good sound system. We used the sound in the Acura RDX for everything from encouragement to our runner to switching to soothing to transition into nap time for the kiddies. So whether you want to rock on, or sing along, the available ELS Studio® 3D Premium audio system in the RDX unleashes the full sound spectrum of your favourite songs across 16 channels and 710 watts.

ALL-NEW. ALL A-SPEC.

Now, there’s little chance of blending in. The RDX A-SPEC takes an already attention-grabbing design even further, with exclusive A-SPEC front and rear fascia, dual oval exhaust finishers, 20-inch Shark Gray split 5-spoke wheels, and more.

During our time away we stayed at Spirit Ridge Lake Resort, see our review here. I received the use of the Acura RDX at no charge in order to facilitate this review.
