MICHELLE WRIGHT ADDED TO FESTIVAL ROSTER

EVENING MAIN STAGE SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

The Mission Folk Music Festival announced that Canadian country music star Michelle Wright has been added to the festival roster. The festival has also just released the Main Stage schedule for performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, July 26, 27 and 28.

MICHELLE WRIGHT  joins the MFMF roster

With the release of her first new album in five years, Merlin, Ontario’s Michelle Wright shows again why her expressive voice and distinctive style has earned her twenty‐five Top Ten radio hits, more than forty major awards (including her 2011 induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame) and sold millions of records. Together with her guitarist, she’s bringing her favourite songs, old and new, to the Mission Folk Main Stage. Ms. Wright closes this year’s festival on Sunday night, July 28, providing a stunning country roots exclamation point to cap off a wonderful weekend of music.

In addition to concerts and workshops on 3 daytime stages, the evening Main Stage showcases on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights offer a glimpse into the great talent that audiences can expect to see all weekend at this year’s Festival.

Roster update: The MFMF is sorry to report that, due to Visa issues, Wil Campa Y Su Orquestra will not be performing at this year’s festival as previously announced. The festival hopes to welcome Wil back another time.

The festival’s home is Fraser River Heritage Park, just east of Mission. The park overlooks the Fraser River with treed areas and lots of green space. It’s one of the prettiest locations around to sit back and enjoy a weekend of music. The festival features an amazing roster of artists from across the continent playing an eclectic range of great music from close to home and around the world. Over 20 acts will perform everything from Celtic tunes to country, from klezmer to Senegalese asiko, Latin grooves, Thracian dance tunes – and so much more! The ambiance is welcoming to all, easy-going, and family-friendly.

In addition to the great music on tap, there are both Food and Artisan Market vendors, in addition to the licensed Festival Bistro, a dynamic WEE FOLKS area where kids and families can have lots of fun, and a on-site camping.

Advance priced Tickets are on sale now!

Weekend Advance-priced tickets range from $90 for adults to $85 for Seniors and Students to $50 for Youth.

Tickets + camping passes are also available at all price levels, as are one day tickets for Saturday and Sunday.
