The Cultch presents Holiday at the Elbow Room Cafe – a new Holiday tradition from Zee Zee Theatre!

A new—adults-only—holiday tradition from Zee Zee Theatre and The Cultch!

The Cultch is thrilled to present Holiday at the Elbow Room Café, a brand new holiday show from Zee Zee Theatre (Vancouver) at the Historic Theatre from December 10-29, 2019.

Everybody’s favourite characters from Elbow Room Café: The Musical are back for a holiday extravaganza at The Cultch. When café owners, Patrice and Bryan, and a group of Christmas misfits are snowed in at the iconic café on Christmas Eve, all bets are off. Will Patrice make it to the Christmas Eve Spectacular, will Brian finally reach his boiling point, will Tabby find something to satisfy her hunger, and will they ever find a way out? Featuring songs from the original musical, by Dave Deveau and Anton Lipovetsky, as well as seasonal favourites, this brand new holiday treat will have audiences singing and dancing all December long.

Holiday at the Elbow Room Café is a new Cultch holiday tradition inspired by Elbow Room Café: The Musical, Zee Zee Theatre’s tribute to Vancouver’s most iconic café, which premiered at the York Theatre in March 2017. Written by Dave Deveau and directed by Cameron Mackenzie, husbands and lifelong friends of real life Elbow Room Café proprietors Patrice Savoie and Bryan Searle, Holiday at the Elbow Room Café is a hilarious and heartwarming tribute to the café known for slinging sarcasm and insults right along with its food. A local favourite for over 35 years, Elbow Room Café closed its doors for business in the fall of 2018, a year after the sad passing of Bryan Searle—this show is dedicated to his memory.
