Mission Hill Family Estate hosts ‘Festival of Trees’ celebration for third year
Proceeds from the annual holiday event will benefit BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
Mission Hill Family Estate is proud to host its third annual Festival of Trees celebration — a holiday fundraising tradition that takes place in communities across British Columbia. This year, Festival of Trees returns to Mission Hill from November 22, 2019 to January 4, 2020. All proceeds will benefit BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
As in past years, Mission Hill’s beautiful estate will be transformed into a dazzling forest of brilliantly decorated trees that evoke the colours, fragrances, and wonder-inducing spirit of the season. Local residents and visitors who view the display are invited to vote for their favourite tree in the form of a donation to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Festival of Trees kicks off Friday, November 22, with an open house from 5 to 9 pm at Mission Hill Family Estate. For a minimum donation of $2, guests will enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate, a variety of food stations, family-friendly entertainment, featuring the Mt. Boucherie Secondary School Jazz Band and Choir, performer Derek Joel, and more. Santa will also be making an appearance, and families will have an opportunity to have a festive picture taken for a minimum $10 donation.
“Mission Hill Family Estate is thrilled and honoured to once again host Kelowna’s Festival of Trees,” says Darryl Brooker, President of Mission Hill Family Estate. “The life-saving work performed every day at BC Children’s Hospital is an evergreen cause that has benefitted countless families across the province. Everyone at Mission Hill looks forward to celebrating the season with our guests, and once again bringing attention and much-needed funds to the Festival’s incredible beneficiary.”
