Bells and Whistles is saving gridiron fans a red-zone spot for the biggest sports spectacle of the year when the Fraserhood sports headquarters hosts its second annual ‘Tailgate Extravaganza’ for Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, February 2.

Starting with all the pre-game prognostications, interviews and features that lead up to the 3:30 p.m. kickoff of the most-watched live TV event in North America, the big screens at Bells and Whistles will showcase the full Super Bowl experience — including the halftime festivities — with live audio broadcast throughout the space.

Throughout the day, Bells and Whistles will feature football-friendly food and drink specials that include:

  • All core selections of draught beer for $5.50;
  • Negronis or glasses of Bench 1775 Pinot Gris or Lock & Worth Merlot for $7;
  • Classic hot dogs for $5 and chili cheese or Chicago dogs for $7.
The restaurant will also feature the signature ‘Pigskin Poutine’ it will offer as part of the annual La Poutine Week Feb. 1 to 7 — a poutine lover’s dream comprising slow-roasted pork atop curly fries, cheese curds, peppered cabbage, pork crackling and housemade gravy, available for $16 with partial proceeds being donated to charity.

Die-hard fans looking to tap into the full, all-day experience can also show up early and get into game shape with Bells and Whistles’ brunch menu, which offers wake-me-up favourites such as locally roasted and freshly ground French-press coffee, chicken and waffles, the all-day breakfast burger, avocado toast and eggs and the Fraser omelette from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Bells and Whistles will also show both NFL conference finals this Sunday, January 19 when the Tennessee Titans head to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC bragging rights at 12:05 p.m. and the San Francisco 49ers host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game at 3:40 p.m.

Cinephiles can also grab a front-row seat to enjoy free popcorn and classic movies on the Bells and Whistles big screens every weekend when the restaurant’s Sunday Night Movie Seriescontinues throughout the winter on Sundays at 9 p.m. The latest edition of the ongoing series features The Naked Gun (Jan. 19), This is Spinal Tap (Jan. 26), Groundhog Day (Feb. 2), Groundhog Day (Feb. 2), The 2020 Oscars (Feb. 9), Footloose (Feb. 16), Road House (Feb. 23), Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle (March 1), Dodgeball (March 8), Swingers (March 15) and Semi-Pro (March 22).
