Richmond Chocolatiers – Wild Sweets® By Dominique & Cindy Duby – releases Limited Edition ‘Year of the Rat’ Chocolate Collection for 2020 Chinese New Year Celebration!
We are pleased to announce the release of our 2020 ‘Year of the Rat’ Limited Edition Chocolate Collection. This ‘East-Meets-West’ Wild Sweets® By Dominique & Cindy Duby – One of the ‘25 Best Chocolatiers in the World’ – Limited Edition Chocolate Collection is custom designed for the 2020 Chinese New Year celebration and is inspired on a popular Chinese candy – White Rabbit. The science-based formulation is designed for a very creamy texture while crafted using modern French based chocolate-making techniques. To highlight the ‘milky’ notes of the White Rabbit Candy, the ﬁlling is an emulsiﬁcation of white chocolate, which mostly contains milk products, and pure fruit juices – strawberry or mandarin – for an aromatic synergy with the candy.
The ﬁllings are encased in our own house blend 70% cocoa bean to bar chocolate and painstakingly hand-painted with cocoa butter colours in the traditional ‘red-and-gold’ scheme and include the following;

We are also releasing our Lunar Limited Edition Chocolate Art Gateau that is also an ‘East-Meets-West’ cake that is custom designed for the 2020 Chinese New Year celebration. The creative concept behind this cake is based on the Chinese tradition of ‘Red Envelopes’ with its bright red cocoa butter finish and gold coins decor symbolizing ‘Money’. The cake features specific sweet ingredients for their symbolism in Chinese traditions including; Prosperity – Good Fortune – Longevity – Wealth, yet is crafted using modern French based chocolate-making techniques.
