WINE VIKINGS DELIVERS TOP PICKS BY VANCOUVER HOSPITALITY EXPERTS STRAIGHT TO YOUR DOOR
New quarterly wine club offers exclusive selections from around the world, curated by savvy somms and restaurant pros.
Launching today, January 15, Wine Vikings is the wine club that brings the knowledge and experience of Vancouver’s top wine and restaurant professionals to your home.
Founded by event producer Dax Droski (Deighton Cup, Hopscotch Festival), Wine Vikings wine club was sparked by the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local hospitality industry. Our Wine Vikings, each one a local industry leader, scour the world for their favourite hidden gems — exclusive and otherwise unavailable vintages that bridge the gap between wine lovers, the restaurant experiences they miss, and the personalities that make those restaurants unforgettable.
Each quarter you’ll receive six hand-selected wines, as chosen by the trusted palate of the featured Wine Viking, along with a link to a video, hosted by that Viking, to guide you through your tasting experience and help you understand what you’re sipping on, where it’s from, and why it matters. Like their namesake sea-faring wanderers of old, our Vikings are driven by the thrill of discovery, and the opportunity to share their adventures with you.
Featuring some seriously good juice that’s unavailable at government liquor stores, the 2021 subscriptions have been sipped, vetted, and selected by an all-star, award-winning lineup.
Kicking things off this Tuesday is Chambar Wine Director Kelcie Jones with a standout package that features a limited-vintage French Chablis, a trio of full-bodied Italian reds (Aglianico, Barbera, and a Bordeaux blend), a crisp Petite Arvine from the Valle d’Aosta, and an Okanagan Semillon. Kelcie will be followed by Wine Vikings Michelle Kanis of Bar Corso (Summer 2021), Doug Stephen of Downlow Chicken Shack (Fall 2021), and Ask For Luigi Chef Alessandro Vianello (Winter 2021).
Subscriptions are $210 (plus tax & shipping) and are billed and delivered quarterly. Subscribers may cancel at any time.
