Sales of Nichol Vineyard 2019 Pinot Gris Supports BC Hospitality Charity
The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is honoured to be the beneficiary of a new initiative by BC’s Nichol Vineyard and Winery. Starting immediately, the Naramata winery will donate $10 from the sale of every case of its 2019 Pinot Gris to the local charity.
Nichol Vineyards is known for its low-intervention approach to viticulture and winemaking, which allows the natural character of the grapes to produce unique wines that perfectly express the place of their origin. The 2019 Pinot Gris is made from 100% Naramata-grown grapes and earned 92 points from wine critic Treve Ring, who noted that “this vintage is especially shining, making this smashable wine a joy.”
Matthew Sherlock of Nichol Vineyard notes the winery is happy to support the BCHF with this initiative. “We were looking for a way we could connect with the larger hospitality community, and we love the fact that the BCHF started as a grassroots organization. It’s a great way for us to support colleagues who are struggling.”
The BCHF is grateful for Nichol Vineyard’s support. Executive Director Dana Harris comments that the charity receives no government funding, and in the last year support from others in the hospitality industry has become more important than ever. “We’re so thankful to the folks at Nichol Vineyards for this initiative. It’s a great example of how we in the hospitality sector work together to help our own, even during tough times.”
Cases of Nichol Vineyard 2019 Pinot Gris may be purchased online for home delivery; shipping is free within B.C. or across Canada with a purchase or 2 or more cases. While you are at it, join their wine club for an additional 10% off. You won’t be disappointed in any wines from Nichol Vineyard.

About Nichol Vineyard and Winery: Nichol Vineyard was among the first three pioneering wineries on the Naramata Bench. All our wines are made from grapes grown within 900 meters of the winery. We continue to operate on a small scale, which allows us to focus all our attention and resources on the quality of our grapes and their subsequent élevage in the winery. Our farming methods and winemaking techniques minimize interference so the natural character of the grapes will be embodied by the wine in the glass.
