Say “Thanks, Mom!” with Cuisine from Burnaby’s Hart House

Hart House at Deer Lake is pleased to announce that this year it will offer two ways to celebrate Mother’s Day. On Sunday, May 9th 2021, you and mom can enjoy the restaurant’s award-winning cuisine either al fresco at the Deer Lake estate, or in the comfort of your own home. The Hart House Mother’s Day Takeout Kit includes a selection of brunch items that are ready to heat and serve.

The portions in the Mother’s Day Takeout Kit will serve up to 4 people. Hart House Chef Mike Genest has designed a menu everyone will enjoy, including
vegetarian frittata with roasted garlic, spinach, and 3 cheeses
crispy pork belly with maple thyme breakfast sausage
roasted potatoes
banana waffles with pecan syrup and cinnamon butter

There’s also an option to add on a ½ side of Lois Lake steelhead lox. As well, Hart House is recommending two wines you can add to your online order that make excellent pairings with the brunch menu to help you celebrate mom in style:
Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars Gold Label Brut
8th Generation Vineyard Riesling

You can order the Mother’s Day Takeout Kit online by May 5th for pick up at the Burnaby restaurant on May 9th from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Given the current restrictions on indoor dining, Hart House is currently offering only outdoor seating on its patio and lawn. The restaurant will be serving its regular brunch menu on Sunday, May 9th. Please reserve your spot online.

About Hart House Restaurant: The three-acre estate on which Hart House stands was first purchased by New Westminster businessman Frederick Hart in 1906. Frank Macey designed the Tudor Revival building. Paul Smolen and his original partner, Peter Scott, recognized that the house and grounds presented a unique opportunity to create a premier culinary destination. Hart House Restaurant opened its doors as a restaurant in September of 1988. In 2000 Paul Smolen took sole ownership of the business along with his wife Carol Smolen. The combination of lakeside setting, unrelenting drive for fine cuisine, and warm, welcoming service continues to enchant Hart House guests. https://www.harthouserestaurant.com/
