Floral Workshops and Picnics at Early Bird Family Farm in Langley

Langley’s Early Bird Family Farm is an ecological wonderland.

The 20-acre property is home to thousands of flowers – including many unique heritage varieties – as well as a herd of dairy goats, plus heritage chickens, ducks and geese. Owner-operator Barbara Pearson and her family use sustainable practices to cultivate flowers that have begun disappearing from the environment.

And now, with the arrival of the calendar’s most picturesque season, the Pearson family’s sprawling rural paradise is hosting a series of events for everyone who loves nature, art, food and wine, or simply spending an afternoon or evening in a truly peaceful environment.

Each of the following events is held outdoors, with more than enough space to maintain social distancing.

Floral Workshops

Dazzling Dahlias
Saturday, Sept. 11; 2 to 4:30 pm

While there are thousands of blooms at the farm, the focus of this class is the dazzling Dahlia. After learning how to select and pick flowers, participants will have the opportunity to create a gorgeous hand-tied bouquet, guided by a team of experts. Guests will also glean tips on cut-flower care.

Autumn Abundance
