Black Hills Estate Winery’s renowned 2020 Nota Bene to launch soon
The winery’s most exclusive wine release of the year is set to return this June along with the popular Nota Bene Release Party
Black Hills Estate Winery announced that its 2020 Nota Bene wine will release June 1, 2022 to Wine Club members and June 15, 2022 to the public. To celebrate, the Estate’s most prestigious event of the year, the Nota Bene Release Party will also return after a two-year hiatus on June 18, 2022, with tickets now available for purchase. Award-winning winemaker and Master of Wine Ross Wise produced the highly anticipated, flagship wine. The expertly crafted Bordeaux blend was first released in 1999, receiving high scoring reviews and generating a devoted following.
The 2020 Nota Bene is set to be a fantastic wine after an incredible growing season in the summer of 2020. “The 2020 growing season got off to a slow start with a cool and damp spring and flowering period. However, a dry and warm July, August and September allowed the vines to quickly make up for lost time,” says winemaker Ross Wise. “With lower than average crop levels and perfect ripening conditions from September through to Thanksgiving, the late-ripening varietals were able to achieve excellent flavour and ripeness, along with high levels of concentration and aromatic intensity. A stellar vintage for South Okanagan red wines,” added Wise.
