“OMG” tickets offer the last chance to join Canada’s Event of the Year
Calling runners and wine lovers: 100 special tickets to the 2022 Half Corked Marathon will be released this Friday, July 29, 2022 at 9.00am PT.
Half Corked Marathon organizers, Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country, will be releasing “OMG” tickets for the immensely popular weekend, which takes place on Saturday September 10, 2022. Tickets cost $249 plus tax.
“The 2022 Half Corked Marathon is finally here and we are pulling out all the stops to create a truly memorable wine country weekend,” says Jennifer Busmann, executive director of Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. “From Primavera Party in the Park the night before to Dinner on the Farm following the run, we can’t wait to welcome our participants, guest chefs, wineries and sponsors to celebrate with the Oliver and Osoyoos communities.”
The Half Corked Marathon welcomes guests to the region’s picture-perfect vineyards, offering participants a unique, outdoor wine tasting adventure. The route has been updated this year to include more winery stations than ever before, both along both the Golden Mile Bench and the Black Sage Road, so that participants can sip and savour delicious wines from the region as they run through the vineyards and along the Okanagan river.
Creative costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for the best individual costume, best team and best skit. Participants will complete the route at the Oliver Community Park where the Party at the Finish Line will include a new paella picnic from the Paella Guys along with food trucks, more wine tasting and live entertainment. Transportation to the start line will be provided from Penticton as well as Oliver and Osoyoos, included for all guests in the ticket price, opening up more accommodation options for participants.
Limited spots are still available at popular pre-race wine dinner, Primavera ($120pp plus tax and processing fee), taking place in the lush surrounds of Oliver Community Park on Friday, September 9, 2022. Chef Javier Blanc from Vancouver’s Paella Guys will prepare a delicious feast for guests, hot off their announcement as finalists for the World Paella Day Cup, paired with wines from vineyards close by.
After the run on Saturday, September 10, Nostalgia Wines will host a very special Dinner on the Farm ($150pp plus tax and processing fee), with guest Chef Quinn Staple and team from Calgary’s Yellow Door Bistro.
“OMG” tickets will be available online at www.oliverosoyoos.com at 9.00am PT on Friday, July 29 until they are sold. Only one ticket per person permitted and guests will need to complete an online profile in order to purchase their ticket. All ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable.
