The Secret Garden Returns to H Tasting Lounge March 18
Celebrate spring with enchanting dining set in English garden-themed domes at
The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver
Vancouver locals needn’t venture far for an immersive escape to the countryside this spring. H Tasting Lounge’s seaside patio is blossoming into The Secret Garden — a botanical oasis where guests can dine amongst the flowers in quaint English garden-inspired domes.
This exquisite dining destination launches on March 18, just in time to usher in the spring season, and is on offer until Mother’s Day, May 14. The terrace will feature climbing vines and magnificent floral displays of its own, adjacent to superb views of the cherry blossoms that line the Vancouver Seawall.
Guests of The Secret Garden will be treated to an array of west coast-inspired dishes including share-style light bites and more substantial entrées to oblige appetites of all sizes. Impressive table-side displays, like the Flamed 50oz. Certified Angus Beef Tomahawk Steak, will be available to make the occasion all the more memorable. Other noteworthy features include: Steelhead Trout Belly, which is prepared confit-style and served with sourdough baguette crisps and atchara pickles; and Flame-Torched Roasted Bone Marrow & Beef Tartare served atop a charred west coast cedar board with tamari-cured egg yolk, grana padano, and grilled country bread. Cocktail enthusiasts can sip in the season with bespoke handcrafted concoctions like the Nitro Strawberry Jungle Bird, a nitrogen-infused blend of rums with strawberry, tarragon and Campari; and the FRUITERÍA, a tequila-based libation that is ignited at the table in true tiki fashion.
Several photo opportunities await throughout The Secret Garden, beginning with a special feature wall including suspended globes of foliage and flowers in the hotel lobby. From there, guests will be ushered out to the patio through an ivy-adorned archway that leads to endless greenery. Each private glass-panelled dome will be decorated with floral centrepieces, ivy topiary, and green embellishments that mirror an English countryside. Each dome accommodates up to 6 guests and features heaters, fresh-air circulation, and independent sound systems for added personalization.
Savour an afternoon or an evening in The Secret Garden, with regular lunch and dinner service; daily Happy Hour (3pm – 5pm); and the Let Them Eat Cake! Weekend Afternoon Tea service (11:30am – 1:30pm).
