The MOTN comedy club hosts the Triumph Block Party September 2nd

The new Triumph Street address, has given birth to The Triumph Block Party
—a moniker that fits like a glove.

Austin Jamieson, owner of the MOTN Comedy Club and Tattoo Studio, and his partner, have been steering the ship of these establishments for a remarkable two years. A year ago a devastating fire in the MOTN comedy club destroyed the inaugural venue and what followed was a journey of resilience in the face of adversity.

Thanks to a phenomenally successful crowdfunding campaign MOTN has rebuilt and relocated to a new venue on Triumph Street in East Van. The new Triumph Street address, has given birth to The Triumph Block Party—a moniker that fits like a glove. Tickets available here.

Their collaborative efforts will feature some of Vancouver’s premier comedians, including the likes of Dino Archie, Simon King, Kevin Banner, Ola Dada, and a roster of other luminaries. Moreover, we’re thrilled to bring you live podcasts in collaboration with our partners at Harbour Podcast Studio. Our bustling markets will showcase the finest DIY artists in the city, with names like Puppyteeth and Goodluck Studios leading the charge. And as the sun sets, we’ll crescendo into the night with unforgettable concerts, headlined by none other than ICON HIP HOP—the preeminent hip hop cypher community organization in the city.

“As our largest endeavour to date, it holds immense significance to us. We’ve been toiling ceaselessly to uplift Vancouver’s arts scene, and any support you can extend would mean the world to us.” Austin Jamieson

Tickets available here.

Austin and Jake come from White Rock where they went to school together. Starting the MOTN in 2021, the pair joined forces after a few months of Austin running the MOTN on his own. The two experienced a wild summer last year, when, within a month apart, both were in a car crash that almost took their lives, and then the devastating fire that took their business. Together they’ve braved through the storm and came out the other side stronger than ever.

Harbour Podcast studios are co producing the event with Jordan, who owns Harbour, and was the literal light shining while we were lost. Having brought us into his space after only a few months of being shut down, Jordan played a massive role in The MOTN returning from the ashes.
