2023 Premium Spirits Release celebrates spirits from around the world
The highly anticipated annual Premium Spirits Release will take place on November 18, 2023, and the doors will open at 8 a.m. at 49 participating BCLIQUOR (BCL) across the province.
Adele Shaw, BCLIQUOR Category Manager for Spirits has carefully curated an amazing selection of more than 190 spirits for this year’s Release. “This event features sought-after products from a wide range of countries (from Canada and USA to Ireland and Japan) and product categories: whiskies, tequilas, gins, rums, cognacs as well as two distinguished beers,” shares Adele. “With an array of unique products at different price points, this Release is also a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping.”
In the week leading up to the Release, select BCL stores will be hosting complimentary tasting events and ticketed masterclasses for customers looking to learn more about premium spirits directly from brand ambassadors and to sample some of the Premium Spirit Release products.
From November 11 to 16, interested customers may enter to win the opportunity to purchase one or more ultra rare products from The Prestige Collection and The Luxe Collection. Details and ballots are available at each participating store. There is a limit of one entry per person per spirit.
The Prestige Collection. This collection includes exclusive products such as Bowmore 52-Year-Old ARC-52, Highland Park 54-Year-Old and Rémy Martin Louis XIII Rare Cask 42.1. Enter the draw from November 11 to 14 by completing a paper ballot at the 39th & Cambie Signature BCLIQUOR store. The draw will be conducted on November 16th at BCLIQUOR Head Office. Successful entrants will be notified by email and must confirm intent to purchase within the timeframe provided.
The Prestige Collection draws presented by BCL 39th & Cambie will feature:
• Bowmore, Arc 52 – $115,000
• Highland Park, 54-year-old – $73,000
• Remy Martin, Louis XIII Rare Cask 42.1 – $78,500
Interested customers may enter to win the opportunity to purchase one or more products featured in The Prestige Collection by completing a ballot at BCL 39th & Cambie from November 11 to 14, 2023. The draws will take place at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch Head Office on November 16, 2023 and winners will be contacted by email.
The Luxe Collection. The draw for these products will take place on various days the week before the release for the opportunity to purchase exclusive sought-after products. Must be present at the time of the draw.
- The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Sherry Edition will be drawn in-person on November 15th at the 39th & Cambie Signature BCLIQUOR store.
- The Macallan draw (featuring The Macallan Fine & Rare 1990 Cask No. 11233, The Macallan Fine & Rare 1993 Cask No. 3939, The Macallan M Black 2023 Release and The Macallan M Copper 2022 Release) will take place on November 16th at 39th & Cambie Signature BCLIQUOR store.
- The Suntory Hibiki 21-Year-Old, Yamazaki 18-Year-Old Single Malt, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2023 and Gran Coraminosigned by comedian Kevin Hart, will be drawn on November 15th at Park Royal Signature BCLIQUOR store.
The Luxe Collection draws for an opportunity to purchase highly sought-after spirits will be held in-store and successful entrants must be present at the time of the draws. The Luxe Collection draws at BCL Park Royal on Wednesday, November 15 will feature Suntory Whisky – Hibiki 21-Year-Old, Yamazaki 18-Year-Old, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2023 and two signed bottles of the Gran Coramino Cristalino by comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
The Luxe Collection draws presented by BCL 39th & Cambie on Wednesday, November 15 will offer the Dalmore Cask Curation Series Sherry Edition priced at $60,000. On Thursday, November 16, the Luxe Collection draws at the BCL 39th & Cambie will feature fine and rare bottles of The Macallan ranging in price from $18,000 to $38,500.
November 11 – 14th customers will have a chance to participate in draws for the opportunity to purchase some extremely rare products.

LATE ARRIVING PRODUCTS
Waitlists will be created for any late arriving products on the release day – November 18th. To be put on the waitlist, you must go to the store and sign up. The waitlist will be ranked in order of first come first serve, and customers will be contacted when the products arrive. Be sure to visit stores early November 18th to ensure your position on the waitlist for late arriving products.
