2022 Pinot Gris
Mayhem
Okanagan Falls, BC
$18.36
Pale straw colour with medium-light intensity.  Lots of citrus on the nose – lemon and lime zest, apple, pear, stone fruit, mineral, undertones and a touch of honeysuckle.  Good balance.  Citrus flavours dominate the palate along with honey followed by a medium-plus finish.  A great value wine.  Serve with pan-seared cod with a beurre blanc sauce or grilled chicken topped salad.

2022 Blanc de Noir
8th Generation
Summerland, BC
$24.00
Made from 100% Pinot Meunier.  Straw coloured with medium-plus intensity.  The nose is delightful with aromas of orange blossom, lemon zest, honeysuckle, grass, gooseberry, green pepper, asparagus and a steely undertone.  Very good balance.  Mouth-watering and juicy on the palate followed by a medium-long finish.  You can be forgiven if you taste this wine and assume it is sauvignon blanc.

2021 Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo
Terra di Mario
Castel delle Stivierre, Italy
$14.99
Garnet/black with deep intensity.  Pleasing delicate red fruit aromas on the nose.  Acceptable balance with a slightly sweet edge.  Some appealing character on the palate – cherries, raspberries, mint, and red currant.  A medium finish.  Serve with pizza or a burger.

2021 Dead of Night
Moon Curser
Osoyoos, BC
$45.99
This is an intriguing unique blend of Syrah and Tannat.  Garnet/black with deep intensity.  Blackberry, black cherry, black pepper, plum, spice, earth, leather and cedar on the nose.  Well balanced, full bodied and with smooth ripe tannins.  The palate is well integrated and reflects the nose followed by a medium-long finish.   Delightful right now and cellar-worthy for ten years.  This wine will only get better.
