Cadillac Fairview Presents the Stress Less Lunch, bringing free lunches to
downtown every Wednesday in September at Robson Square

An initiative designed to bring the downtown community together

Cadillac Fairview is launching the Cadillac Fairview Stress Less Lunch, designed to energize Vancouver’s downtown community and encourage those who live and work in the downtown core to get outside and take a break. Beginning September 4th and recurring every Wednesday in September from 12pm to 2pm, Cadillac Fairview is partnering with local food trucks on the south side of the Vancouver Art Gallery to bring free lunches to one and all.

“Cadillac Fairview is dedicated to enriching the communities we are part of and this initiative aims to bring people together through the joy of food,” said Senior Director of Brand Claudia Mayne of Cadillac Fairview. “We know that September is by far one of the most challenging months of the year and many individuals feel the stress that comes with it. By providing complimentary lunches, we hope to help alleviate some of the stress of this busy time, making it easier for people to manage their routines.”

The Cadillac Fairview Stress Less Lunch is designed to encourage those who live and work in the downtown core to get outside and take a break. The initiative is also meant to help those coping with a large amount of change in a short period of time thanks to the beginning of a new school year, the end of summer, and a return to routine, known to some as “Stresstember”.

September, often dubbed “Stresstember”, is a time when the stress of returning to post-summer workloads intensifies, leading to increased fatigue and a tendency to skip essential breaks, such as lunch. Neglecting these breaks can negatively impact productivity and overall well-being. In response, Cadillac Fairview has launched an initiative to address this challenge.

Beginning September 4th, anyone can enjoy a complimentary lunch from a selection of popular food trucks on Robson Street at Robson Square, while quantities last.

Participating vendors in the Cadillac Fairview Stress Less Lunch include:

  • Disco Cheetah
  • Chicken Wrap
  • Rao’s Burger Shack
  • Mo’s Hot Dogs
  • Sauzzy Thai

During the activation, from 12pm to 2pm, visitors to participating trucks will be invited to order lunch (limited to one meal per person), courtesy of Cadillac Fairview.

This initiative follows on the heels of Cadillac Fairview’s recently launched partnership with Junction Market, Vancouver’s first container market, which runs until September 29th and brings a festive atmosphere to 200 Granville Street, showcasing local artisans, food, and the Olympic Games on the big screen through Cadillac Fairview’s partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee.
