With performances held in 180 cities around the world, the Candlelight concert series have become a global sensation by combining live music performances with unique and unconventional venues enhancing the one of a kind immersive and memorable experience.
Recently, I attended my first Candlelight concert and was immediately enthralled by the appeal of the experience. Stepping into the darkened Christ Church Cathedral, we were greeted by the welcoming soft glow from hundreds of flickering candles. In this stunning backdrop, Listeso String Quartet transported us into the world of Regency-era London as they as played beloved soundtrack from the hit Netflix series “Bridgerton”, with songs such as Thank u, Next by Ariana Grande, Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, Diamonds by Rihanna, Cheap Thrills by Sia, and many more. For just over an hour, we relaxed in a timeless bubble of visual and aural wonderment. Between the songs, one of the violinists also provided the audience with brief anecdotes and insights into the pieces being performed – a nice personal touch.
Even for those unfamiliar with Bridgerton, the music itself can stand alone as an engaging and delightful listening experience. The Bridgerton Candlelight Concert series captures the show’s romantic charm and musical creativity, offering an unforgettable and immersive experience!
