L’Abattoir launches second year of
Sipping Around BC, a Series of Regional Winemaker Dinners

Following the success of last year’s sold-out series, L’Abattoir is thrilled to announce the return of its highly anticipated Sipping Around BC dinner series, now expanding to explore even more of British Columbia’s diverse wine regions.

Presented in partnership with S. Pellegrino, who continue to support and elevate the dining experience by bringing people together over extraordinary food, wine, and conversation. This year’s series will bring together some of the province’s top winemakers and principals at each dinner to celebrate terroir, microclimates, and the unique varietals shaping BC’s wine industry.

Recognized for its exceptional wine program—having received platinum awards at the Vancouver International Wine Festival’s Wine List Awards since 2018—L’Abattoir remains committed to showcasing the very best in BC wine. Building on last year’s success, this year’s series will delve deeper into the province’s winemaking excellence with three regional wine-paired dinners in their Private Dining Room, each highlighting a different wine-growing region.

Andrew Forsyth, Head Sommelier at L’Abattoir and recently awarded Best Sommelier in BC for 2025, shared his excitement for the return of the series: “Last year’s dinners were a fantastic way to connect guests with the incredible talent behind BC’s wine industry. We’re excited to continue that journey and showcase even more regions and producers in this year’s expanded series.”

The series begins on Friday, April 4th, with the Naramata Bench dinner, featuring Little Engine Wines, MacIntyre Heritage Reserve, and Terravista Vineyards. Guests will enjoy a multi-course menu expertly paired with wines from each winery, with winemakers and winery principals in attendance to introduce their selections and share stories about their wine growing region.

The series continues with a further exploration of the Similkameen Valley on Friday, June 13th, as wines from Clos du Soleil Winery, Orofino Vineyard and Little Farm Winery are presented alongside their winery principals.

The final dinner in this year’s series will take place on Thursday, October 23rd, celebrating wines from some of British Columbia’s islands, with the wines and winery principals from Unsworth Vineyards, from Vancouver Island and Kutatás Wines on Salt Spring Island.

Tickets for each dinner in the series are $195 per guest exclusive of taxes and gratuity.  Guests will have the opportunity to purchase and take home the wines poured at cellar door pricing with some being only otherwise available at the wineries.  Tickets are limited and will be available for purchase in the month prior to each event with guests from previous Sipping Around BC dinners receiving advance notice.

Tickets for the first dinner on Friday, April 4th are now available, offering guests the opportunity to experience the next chapter of Sipping Around BC, where the best of British Columbia’s wines come to life for an unforgettable dining experience.
