VINEYARD NOTES
All of these grapes are grown at the Paradise block of Monarch Vineyards, located in Northern Oliver, B.C.
This vineyard integrates silt from the nearby Okanagan River and its conjoining floodplains. Pockets of this vineyard show gravel, rock, and sand which allow for great drainage and offer a warming effect.
There is balanced sunlight throughout the day without the morning and afternoon extremes. The large rockface on the hillside offers a warming effect to the vines. Cool nighttime temperatures allow the vines to reduce stress levels during extreme heat.
Cabernet Franc 2022
Our Cabernet Franc is grown on our vineyard on East Bench Osoyoos, B.C. Blessed with unfiltered sunshine from dawn till dusk and cooled by the nearby lake at night, this unique combination of sandy soils and granite produces a premium Cabernet Franc.

Syrah 2021
Stylistic Notes
The inaugural release of our single varietal Syrah; 2021 was the “heat dome” year for the Okanagan. Planted in our most southernly site, this wine was drenched in sun throughout the entire growing season. As a result of these climatic conditions, the fruit was thoroughly ripened. These factors led to leaving this wine to mature in oak for 33 months, all of which was new American barrels.
This Syrah showcases deep blueberry and dark fruit flavours, with distinctive notes of butterscotch and black liquorice from the oak ageing. This wine’s overall complex and layered profile makes it perfect for long term ageing potential as the tannins continue to unwind and evolve in the bottle.
