Monte del Frà at Vinitaly 2026: when Time shapes
evolution and identity
The winery presents a preview of the

and celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Tenuta Lena di Mezzo.
Time as an ally, a measure, and a promise: this is the guiding thread with which Monte del Frà presents itself at Vinitaly from April 12 to 15, 2026 (Hall 5, Stand A2–A3), showcasing a preview that marks an important evolution for one of the winery’s flagship wines. The spotlight will be on the Bonomo Sexaginta Custoza Riserva 2022, a new expression of a label already central to the company’s range, now reinterpreted through extended aging that redefines its depth and perspective. The wine will be presented in preview during the fair and will be available on the market starting next autumn.
Created to celebrate the winery’s sixtieth anniversary, Bonomo Sexaginta represents a direct link with the family’s history and the Custoza territory. With the 2022 vintage, this wine enters a new dimension, becoming a Riserva for the first time: a choice that is not only stylistic but deeply rooted in identity. Time thus becomes a fundamental element—both a measure and a conscious decision—integral to a production philosophy that rejects shortcuts and relies on the natural maturation of the wine. The extended aging allows for greater aromatic complexity and a more defined structure, while preserving the stylistic signature that has always distinguished Monte del Frà.
The grapes come from vineyards located on morainic hills between 100 and 150 meters above sea level, characterized by calcareous, clayey, and gravelly soils. This geological mosaic gives the wine depth, tension, and a pronounced mineral character, helping to define a more distinctive and representative profile of Custoza according to Monte del Frà.
The theme of time also runs through a second important milestone for the winery: the twentieth anniversary of Tenuta Lena di Mezzo, acquired in 2006 in Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Eighteen hectares in a privileged position, crossed by a stream, identified after years of research as the ideal place to explore a terroir adjacent to Custoza, with different yet complementary characteristics, capable of expanding the company’s vision without altering its identity. Two decades that tell a story of growth and vision, where openness to new territories has translated into a coherent and progressive enrichment.
“Vinitaly represents a key moment for us to meet with the press and industry professionals,”comments Marica Bonomo, CEO of Monte del Frà. “It is the ideal place to share a journey that places time at the center of our vision. With Bonomo Sexaginta Custoza Riserva, we wanted to give even more space to this element, allowing the wine to evolve more slowly, following its natural rhythm. In Verona, we will present it in preview tasting, while its market release is scheduled for the end of the year. At the same time, the event will be an opportunity to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Tenuta Lena di Mezzo, an important milestone: a project that over time has enriched our vision, allowing us to explore a different but complementary territory, in full continuity with our roots.”
At Vinitaly 2026, Monte del Frà invites industry professionals and the press to discover a story made of patience, evolution, and deep roots, where time is not just a measure, but a deliberate choice guiding every stage of work in the vineyard and the cellar.
