Previously, Chef Eligh worked at world-renowned, Michelin-starred restaurants such as Jean-Georges in NYC, The French Laundry in Napa, and Blackbird in Chicago. During his six years as Hawksworth Restaurant Group’s Culinary Director, he was named Vancouver magazine’s Chef of the Year in 2011 and 2012. At Marilena, he brings his passion for coastal ingredients to a global menu that perfectly balances approachability with sophistication. Among its many accolades, Marilena was named Best New Restaurant of 2024 by Canada’s 100 Best and No. 3 by enRoute; it is currently No. 39 on Canada’s 100 Best.
