The Beautiful Dome Installation time-lapse video ⚽

Science World is pleased to share a time-lapse of The Beautiful Dome’s installation from start to finish. What began as an ambitious vision is now one of the most distinctive visuals for the FIFA World Cup 2026™

Thank to Science World for the opportunity to view the Dome in action.

The Beautiful Dome stats:
The Beautiful Dome installation started on May 6th and was completed on June 5th
131 unique panels were installed to create a 360-degree, 40-metre-diameter re-creation of the adidas Trionda, the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The project includes approximately 65,000 square feet of architectural-grade coated fabric, reinforced with 12,000 linear feet of webbing and 15,000 grommets to ensure durability, precision and visual impact.
Science World has been, and continues to be, Vancouver’s visual marker for Expo ’86, the 2010 Olympics and now, the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

The Beautiful Dome was an ambitious collaboration between Destination Vancouver, Science World, the Province of B.C., the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver Host Committee, and the Vancouver Hotel Destination Association.
