L’Abattoir x Diplomático Rum Cocktail supporting Venezuela relief efforts

Vancouver diners can sip for a cause as L’Abattoir joins the global hospitality community in supporting earthquake relief in Venezuela

As restaurants and bars around the world rally behind relief efforts following the devastating (June 24) earthquake in Venezuela, L’Abattoir has partnered with Diplomático Rum to feature the Papelón con Limón ($20). The vibrant cocktail is crafted with Diplomático Reserva Rum, fresh lime, coconut milk and papelón, a traditional Venezuelan cane sugar – and is on offer now through August 5.

A portion of the sale of every cocktail sold will support urgently needed medical care in the UWC Venezuela Alumni in Earthquake Relief., with proceeds going directly to relief efforts. As hospitality businesses around the world find their own ways to support Venezuela — from special cocktails to fundraising events — L’Abattoir is proud to be part of this international effort, offering Vancouver guests a simple yet meaningful way to contribute while enjoying a thoughtfully crafted cocktail.

Whether enjoying an evening in the dining room, at the bar or on the new 18-seat patio, guests can raise a glass this summer knowing they’re supporting a worthy international cause.

Partial proceeds from every Papelón con Limón cocktail are going directly to the UWC (United World Colleges) Venezuela Alumni Earthquake Relief GoFundMe page here: Join UWC Venezuela Alumni in Earthquake Relief.

Located in Gastown at 217 Carrall Street, L’Abattoir is open five nights a week, Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 pm. Reservations are available here.
