The General Lottery for the 2026 Half Corked Marathon opens on November 2, 2025, giving wine enthusiasts one final opportunity to secure a spot at one of Canada’s most celebrated destination events.
The last remaining tickets to this highly coveted weekend will be allocated through the lottery, which closes on November 4. Successful entrants will be notified on November 6 and invited to purchase tickets to the event, taking place in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country on May 30, 2026. Tickets cost $289.99 plus tax.
Celebrating 18 years of blending vineyard views, local wines and a signature sense of fun, the Half Corked Marathon has become a must-do experience for wine lovers, traveling from around the world to the Okanagan to experience the epic event weekend. The Half Corked Marathon weaves runners along a 22km route through the vineyards and trails of both the Golden Mile and the Black Sage Road with the opportunity to sample wines along the way, offering a very unique take on the wine tasting tradition.
“Each year, the Half Corked Marathon brings 1,800 participants and their friends and families into Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country, creating an incredible weekend of celebration, connection and local flavour,” says Jennifer Busmann, Executive Director of Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. “We’re excited to unveil our plans for a line up of new and exciting satellite events for the weekend that showcase the energy, beauty and community spirit of the South Okanagan.”
The 2026 event weekend introduces a refreshed lineup that combines brand-new gatherings with beloved fan favourites:
- Thursday, May 28 – The Tailgate Social: A relaxed new kick-off event featuring tailgate wine tastings, local food trucks and fun outdoor games in a scenic vineyard setting. The perfect way to start the weekend with friends, fun and a festive laid-back vibe.
- Friday, May 29 – Registration at the Oliver Community Park: Runners must register in-person between 10am and 7pm, and collect their race bib, swag bag and Inside Track booklet – filled with exclusive local offers and incentives to explore the region. Those who register by 2pm will be entered to win exciting prizes, including a return trip to the 2027 Half Corked Marathon!
- Friday, May 29 – The Block Party at Nostalgia Wines: Block Party reimagines the long-standing Primavera Party with a fresh, elevated twist. Set across a vineyard “block,” this engaging evening takes guests on a journey between the vines to enjoy a multi-course feast, while sampling a wide selection of delicious wines from the region.
- Saturday May 30 – Party at the Finish Line at Oliver Community Park: Everyone is welcome at the Finish Line Party at Oliver Community Park, as Half Corked Marathon participants celebrate the end of an epic run.
- Saturday, May 30 – Dinner at the Farm: A cherished tradition and fitting finale, this intimate, family-style dinner unites local winemakers, chefs and guests for an elegant evening celebrating food, wine and community. An intimate, immersive celebration of the region’s finest food and wine.
