Cannes Film Festival: Bar°58 at the Carlton Cannes is setting the Croisette ablaze

Festival de Cannes 2026

Bar°58 has established itself on the Croisette
and celebrates the art of mixology

Three nights. Three cities. Three visions. Three art forms.

For the 79th Cannes Film Festival, Bar°58 at the Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel, will host a unique creation dedicated to the world of mixology. An invitation to explore the cocktail as an artistic language, at the crossroads of creation, gesture, and emotion.

Conceived as an immersive work in three chapters, this program will come to life on May 15, 17, and 19. Three dates, three signature artists from Lisbon, Barcelona, and Paris, who will take over the bar of Bar°58 at the Grande Dame to deliver unique performances, exploring themes such as nature, gesture, and theater.

ACT I – May 15

“Frozen Garden” with Constança Cordeiro

Lisbon opens the narrative.

A botanical garden appears frozen in ice, captured in a crystalline beauty where nature becomes sculpture. Here, ice transcends its function to become matter, fragile architecture, a botanical memory captured in time.

Imprisoned flowers, frozen grasses, and natural forms encased in translucent blocks compose a suspended landscape. Cold light penetrates the material, oscillating between deep blue, mineral white, and crystalline shards, while vapor and condensation create a shifting atmosphere around a still world.

With Constança Cordeiro, mixology extends this vision through botanical infusions, frozen textures, and compositions built around transparency and temperature. Each cocktail becomes a fragment of the garden, recomposed in a state that is both frozen and alive.

ACT II – May 17

“The Art of Gesture” with Simone Caporale & Boadas Cocktails

Barcelona sets a new pace. Bar°58 becomes a stage, and gesture, a language.

Inspired by the legendary Boadas Cocktail Bar, founded in 1933, this act explores movement as a form of expression. Here, nothing is executed, everything is interpreted.

In a setting reminiscent of an intimate theater: dark wood, warm lighting, silhouettes in white jackets… the central bar becomes the focal point. Gazes are fixed, attention is focused.

Classic cocktails are revisited in a quest for absolute precision. Every gesture is reduced to its essence, every movement becomes intention. Minimalism replaces ornamentation, precision becomes the signature.

At times, silence suspends time. The bartender’s work becomes choreographed, almost hypnotic, while an artist captures the lines live, extending the gesture into another form.

ACT III – May 19

“Maxim’s Fantasmagorie” with Jean Munoz & Maxim’s

Paris comes to the Croisette in the dazzling atmosphere of a timeless cabaret.

A Belle Époque phantasmagoria unfolds, a blend of unabashed opulence and sensual spectacle. The world of Maxim’s becomes the starting point for a total immersion where the bar transforms into a stage, and every moment into a performance.

With an Art Nouveau aesthetic that blends gilding, deep velvet, and enveloping light, the space vibrates with the energy of a perpetual show. Nothing is static, everything is in motion.

Classic French cocktails are reinterpreted in a narrative style where the service itself becomes a performance. Gestures are amplified, prolonged, and theatricalized, transforming each creation into a work of art.

Cabaret figures move through the space, while Dimasax’s saxophone provides a constant musical backdrop to the evening. Gradually, the boundaries between bar, performance, and imagination blur.

This three-part work, conceived at the Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel, promises to be one of the must-see events of the Cannes Film Festival.
