As soccer fever takes over the city ahead of the World Cup™, Science World is the only physical location where fans can watch the Knowledge Network’s Christine Sinclair: Kind of a Big Deal.

The animated short documentary, produced by Vancouver’s Studio Belly Animation Inc., celebrates the Burnaby-born soccer icon Christine Sinclair, who exemplifies the power of quiet leadership, humility, and perseverance. The film is directed by acclaimed animator Eoin Duffy and narrated by Ryan Reynolds.

While the film is streaming online, Science World is the exclusive physical location where fans can experience this tribute on the big screen. Visitors can catch the short film alongside Science World’s newest feature exhibition,Soccer & Technology from the FIFA Museum, presented by the Province of British Columbia, and take in sport-themed live science shows.

The film beautifully traces Sinclair’s extraordinary 23-year career with Canada’s national team, which yielded three Olympic medals, including gold at the Tokyo 2020 Games, and the title of all-time leading goal scorer in international soccer.
