Almost 500 Fans Unite in Langford to
Cheer Team Canada to Victory
Nearly 500 soccer fans gathered at Langford Station on June 28th to cheer on Team Canada as they defeated South Africa in a thrilling Round of 32 match.
With more than 450 people in attendance, the atmosphere was electric as fans of all ages came together to celebrate Canada’s World Cup™ run. Cheers echoed throughout Langford Station as supporters waved Canadian flags, celebrated every key play, and shared in an unforgettable afternoon of community spirit.
The Langford United watch party transformed Langford Station into a sea of red and white, bringing together families, friends, and visitors to celebrate the world’s game. Guests enjoyed a wide variety of local food trucks, amazing vendors, ice cold beverages from The Mini Bar, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
The outdoor watch parties continue throughout the tournament, with matches being shown on the giant outdoor screen seven days a week. Organizers are inviting the entire community to come together to support their favourite teams while enjoying one of the region’s most unique summer gathering places.
Canada now advances to the Round of 16, with its next match taking place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 4th. Another large crowd is expected as Langford once again unites behind Team Canada.
