It’s Amore is a tribute to Italian-American music and comedy. Featuring Maria Manna, this is a performance filled with love and laughter you won’t want to miss! Maria is backed by singer/actors Pam Miller and Alf Small and a host of stellar local musicians.
Born in Edmonton to Italian immigrant parents, Maria shares her hilarious stories of
‘growing up Italian’. She will sing a collection of memorable hit songs, from the
toe tapping ‘Mambo Italiano’ and ‘Volare’ to the passionate theme from ‘The
Godfather’.
Maria Manna has created, produced and performed in ‘Ladies of Blues’, ‘Ladies of
Jazz’, ‘Ladies of Gospel’ and the ‘Victoria Gospel Music Festival’. She has createdand produced “Vancouver Island’s Got Talent” and is a regular performer at the Cameron Band Shell and the Butchart Gardens Summer Concert Series. For many years Maria has served as ambassador for the city of Edmonton in her role as Klondike Kate.
Her movie credits include the principal vocalist and script coach for “The Engagement Ring”. She currently has 3 cd recordings in her native Italian language and in English. Maria is the recipient of the 2013 Unlimited Woman of Style Award and the
2013 Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award.
Joining Maria Manna for “IT’S AMORE!” are Pam Millar and Alf Small. Pam’s acting
career spans 23 years. Her recent credits include the role of Alice in ‘The Addams
Family’, Miss Hannigan in ‘Annie’, and Jack’s mother in ‘Into the Woods’. She has
performed with Victoria’s Gotta Getta Gimmick musical theatre company and has
appeared as Barbara in the film ‘Hattie’s Heist’. Pam loves all music genres as
well as osso bucco and gelato!
Alf Small is a seasoned performer. His favourite roles include Alfie Doolittle in
‘My Fair Lady’, Man 2 in ‘Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris’,
Aldolpho in ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ and was most recently seen singing and dancing in
‘Cabaret’ for Langham Court Theatre. He is also the male vocalist for the local
band ‘Groovin Hard’. Alf is excited to be working with this talented ensemble.
