Local chefs team up to celebrate Canadian ingredients
WHAT: On Saturday, July 30, join OLO Restaurant’s Executive Chef / Owner Brad Holmes and Chef Warren Barr of Tofino’s Pointe Restaurant at the Wickaninnish Inn for a rustic beachside barbecue in celebration of Food Day Canada. The two talented chefs will be hosting a sumptuous crab and seafood cookout on Chesterman Beach, just south of Tofino for 50 guests.

The event will kick off at 5:30pm, with the buffet-style dinner starting at 6:30pm.
WHERE: The Wickaninnish Inn on Chesterman Beach, 500 Osprey Lane, Tofino, B.C.
WHY: Founded by Canadian food pioneer Anita Stewart, Food Day Canada is a day-long, coast-to-coast celebration of Canada’s rich culinary heritage that supports local chefs, farmers and artisans. This year, OLO’s Chef Brad Holmes is partnering up with Chef Warren Barr of the Wickaninnish Inn, and visionary Anita Stewart to present the best of Western Canada’s bounty with a rustic beachside barbecue. Together these chefs will be cedar-smoking sockeye salmon throughout the afternoon on picturesque Chesterman Beach. Fresh dungeness crab is also on the menu, boiled fresh onsite.
