2016 Pinot Blanc (Lawson)
Anthony Buchanan
Oliver, BC
$19.99

One of, if not the best, Pinot Blanc wines in BC.  Pale lemon yellow in colour with medium-light intensity.  The nose is layered with aromas of peach, apple, citrus, melon, white flowers and minerality.  Well balanced and full bodied.  White peach, apple and citrus flavours dominate the palate.  A medium-plus finish with smoky undertones.  Serve with barbecued salmon or grilled chicken.

2016 Saignée (Rosé)
Culmina
Oliver, BC
$27.60

Pale salmon colour tinged with orange and medium-minus intensity.  Strawberry and rhubarb on the nose.  Well-balanced and big and round in the mouth.  The flavours follow the nose.  There is a slight, delicious, hint of bitterness on the finish.  Serve this with barbecued salmon or garlic basil chicken. 2015 Pinot Noir (Ashlyn)
Anthony Buchanan
Oliver, BC
$29.99

A great example of a BC Pinot Noir – a blend of Old World and New World.  Garnet red in colour with medium intensity.  Dried ripe cherries, bramble, cocoa, earth and sweet spice on the nose.  Well balanced with silky soft tannins.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-plus finish.  Serve with barbecued salmon or grilled garlic basil chicken.

2014 Syrah
Leyda
Valle de Leyda, Chile
$23.99

This is a single vineyard (Canelo) wine.  Garnet red in colour with purple tinges and deep intensity.   Black pepper, smoke, earth, dark berries and spice aromas on the nose.  Very good balance with smooth ripe tannins.  The flavours echo the nose followed by a medium finish.

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon
Montes Alpha
Vallee de Colchagua, Chile
$23.99

Garnet red/black with deep intensity.  A very rich nose showing aromas of blackberry, black olive, baking spice, wild berries and pencil shavings.  Well balanced with velvety ripe tannins.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish. Impressive.
