EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival gives $50K to Project CHEF

2^nd Annual $25K donation means $50K total from culinary festival

helps to bring food programs to Vancouver schools

The EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival is one of Canada’s most anticipated premium world-class culinary festivals. Attracting attendees throughout North America, EAT! Vancouver features culinary collaborations between award-winning local and special guest chefs from across Canada and the United States. In 2018, EAT! Vancouver generated $25,000 to local charity Project CHEF for the second year in a row. The festival organizers could not be prouder.

Alan Fogel, partner at EAT! Vancouver, enthusiastically notes, “In 2017-18, with the help of the public and participating chefs, we donated $50,000 to Project CHEF. This means we have impacted more than 1100 children, 700 parents and 20 teachers,” he continues. “We are looking forward to the 2019 festival on November 4-9!”

Chef Barb Finley, director, Project CHEF Education Society, says ” This $25,000 donation makes a huge difference to our programming, allowing us to plan for the future and enabling us to reach more kids and families. I have felt honoured to be a part of the EAT! Vancouver events the past two years. These events bring the community together; not just the Project CHEF community but the Vancouver chefs and Canadian chefs as well. Food brings people together and the EAT! events illustrate this.”

EAT! Vancouver is November 4 – 9, 2019, and moves to the Vancouver Club
Proceeds from the 2019 event will be donated to both the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Ocean Wise.

EAT! Vancouver 2019 – Save the Date:

Besides being a coveted world-class culinary festival showcasing incredible collaborations between acclaimed chefs, EAT! Vancouver has become an important philanthropic event.

In 2019, EAT! Vancouver will take place from Nov 4 to 9 in a new venue: The Vancouver Club, a stately heritage building with a history dating back to 1889.

Adding to the changes in 2019, two new charities will be assisted with donations: the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, which raises money to advance research, education, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer; and Ocean Wise, a global organization committed with the development of sustainable seafood farming programs.
