Tasting Tips
To taste with a stew of beef with honey, filet mignon papillote with Roquefort, red fruit tart and dark chocolate cream.
Service at 17 °C. Open 4 hours in advance.
For the Fiole Réserve, the aromatic Grenache grapes are carefully selected from the best villages in the Rhône Valley including Plan de Dieu, Séguret and Vaison la Romaine. The Syrahs come from the Gard department and are selected from the heart of the Côtes du Rhône Villages Chusclan AOC, which is particularly known for its quality.
Blend
Plot selection of communal villages then manual harvest at maturity in September. 25-day maceration then aging in 100-year-old casks for 12 months.
Nose
Well balanced between aromas of black fruits, spices and touches of mint, violet and vanilla.
Palate
Concentrated and very elegant with soft and melted tannins. The aromas of wild berries and black cheies follow the nose perfectly. The finish is long and pleasant, the Grenache then expresses all its potential.
Deep ruby with purple hues. The nose is complex, with intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries and black pepper. The liquorice hints of Grenache sublimates the fruit of Syrah. The palate is initially concentrated, ample and fruity, with intense black fruits, liquorice and cocoa. Perfect balance and great length makes La Fiole Réserve a high-end “cuvée.”
Examples of great pairings: Grilled Tuna, Grilled Swordfish, Peking Duck, Lamb Loin, Caribou, Venison, Hamburgers, Nachos

THE LEGEND
The Legend of the Fiole bottle dates back to 1952 and a meeting between a Châteauneuf du Pape wine producer, BROTTE, and a renowned glass artist from the region.
Together they came up with a bottle with a twisted shape, reminiscent of the old Grenache vines bent by the Mistral.
LE PÈRE ANSELME
Much more than just a bottle, it became the perfect container for a Châteauneuf du Pape fine wine.
In a nod to his wife, Charles BROTTE, then a young wine négociant, named this wine after his father-in-law’s father, “Le Père Anselme”, a kindly and well-loved figure in the village.
With its distinctive shape, La Fiole became an icon now found in over 120 countries around the world.
THE EXPENSION
It is with this concern for detail and quality that the descendants of Père Anselme perpetuate the legend of the Fiole, opening the borders of the AOC with the Fiole Côtes and the Fiole Réserve .
