Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship Fundraising Dinner

What :: Join us as six of Canada’s best chefs collaborate to create an unforgettable evening of Canadian cuisine benefitting the Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship.

Normand Laprise (Toque!, Montreal)

Anthony Walsh (Canoe, Oliver & Bonacini, Toronto)

Scott Jaeger (The Pear Tree, Burnaby)

Michele Jacob (Le Crocodile, Vancouver)

Kristian Eligh (Hawksworth, Vancouver)

When :: Sunday September 28, 2014 from 5:00pm to late.

Where :: Hawksworth Restaurant, 801 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC.

Why :: The Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship program is a non-profit culinary foundation created to recognize and inspire young Canadian chefs, whilst promoting professionalism and culinary excellence within the hospitality industry. Earlier in the day the final round of the culinary arts competition will take place at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and one young chef will be awarded as the 2014 recipient.

How :: Reservations are only being taken by calling 604.673.7000. Seats are $140 for the six course menu, or $218 for dinner with wine pairings, selected by Hawksworth Restaurant’s wine team.

About :: The Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship has been created to challenge young talent and inspire them with access to influential industry leaders. Canada’s top chefs and food critics will be judging both the competition’s regional heats and finals, creating a unique experience for young Canadian chefs wanting to further their culinary careers. Competitors have an unrivalled opportunity to prove their level of culinary excellence whilst meeting other young chefs from across the country.
