The evening begins in a Champagne reception in the gallery. Enjoy oysters and a scotch sampling as we visit and bid on works in the show created by artists and arts educators mentored and inspired by Smith over the years. Then move to the 5th floor View Centre for a seasonally inspired tasting menu showcasing Chef David Hawksworth and the winner of the 2013 Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship, Chef Paul Moran, currently Executive Chef at Whistler’s Nita Lake Lodge. The night will conclude with a live auction, which includes an enticing travel opportunity – a custom tour from Into The Vineyard showcasing the wine and art of Tuscany and the auctioning of an original Gordon Smith work.
Evening proceeds will support exhibitions, youth art education and other public programming at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art.
