One of my happiest wine memories was an incredible al fresco dinner in Rome with a group of journalists who loved to work hard and play hard. We began our evening with a salad of tuna and olives accompanied by Ruffino Pinot Grigio. This medium bodied white is made from grapes from two of Italy’s best known regions…Veneto and Friuli. This crisp and fresh wine has a lovely lemony flavour that works perfectly with seafood dishes or with grilled chicken. Its a beautiful colour of straw with a fragrant aroma of flowers. I’ve enjoyed this pinot grigio many times since because its such a pleasant sipper. The price and easy availability means you can make this a go to white wine that always over delivers.
