Another winner from Kim Crawford

Kim Crawford is a nationally recognized wine maker largely because of the very popular Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. So naturally I was interested in trying Kim’s Pinot Gris to see if their success extends to this varietal. I’m happy to report it does. My yard stick for Pinot Gris is the superb wines produced here in B.C. I can tell you the winemakers  from New Zealand know their way around Gris too. A medium bodied wine with the aroma of apples and citrus. The flavour was rich yet crispy, a hint of honey and peaches. A really versatile food wine. From chicken to stir-fry or in my case a beautiful piece of grilled wild sockeye salmon from B.C.’s backyard. If the review didn’t convince you then here’s one more reason to try this wine. It’s on sale until the end of February!

Price: $18.00 (until Feb.28)

Available: B.C. Liquor stores and Everything Wine in South Surrey and North Vancouver
