“Macaron Day exceeded our wildest expectations, both in terms of demand and the incredible generosity of our customers,” said Franck Point, owner of Faubourg Paris. “We had line-ups waiting for us to open at 7:00 a.m., and by 2:00 p.m., our entire inventory was sold out at all three locations.”Started by Parisian pastry chef Pierre Hermé in 1995, Macaron Day has earned international recognition and become an annual event in many countries. 2015 marked the 4th year Vancouver bakeries and pastry shops joined in the international celebration of this traditional French delicacy while raising donations for various local charities.
“We look forward to making Macaron Day in 2016 bigger and better than ever!” added Point. “There’s nothing better than giving back in such a fun and delicious way.”
