Covert Farms brings Oceans to the Okanagan, Aug 29

In the stunning setting of the Covert Farms Family Estate Winery in Oliver, BC, a special collaborative dinner is planned for 6 pm, August 29.

Don’t miss your chance to learn more about the story of the Okanagan Salmon through partners Okanagan Nation Alliance, Ocean Wise Vancouver Aquarium, and Salmon-Safe B.C. In support of the cause, joining the team at Covert Farms is winery partner Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. Along with Covert Farms Chef Derek Uhlemann, chef partners Chef Chris Whittaker of Forage Restaurant Vancouver and Chef Jeff Van Geest of Miradoro Restaurant at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards will be cooking up a feast. Yes, that’s right, there’ll be a five-course wine paired dinner highlighting salmon with proceeds donated to support the Salmon Habitat restoration in the South Okanagan. (Tickets are $95 plus tax with $10 from each ticket going to support gravel restoration.)

You can make a real vacation of it by staying at the well-appointed Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos at a special rate. For each room booked, a further $10 is designated to support the Gravel Restoration Project.

This is truly a Slow Fish Canada opportunity to savour a delectable Farm Field Dinner.
