And They’re Off…The Deighton Cup 2016

Today is the day to secure first-run tickets to one of the most anticipated events of Vancouver’s summer season: The 8^th Annual Deighton Cup.

Presented by Droski/Turner and The Social Concierge, the breathtaking and stylish summer tradition will run on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Hastings Racecourse (188 N. Renfrew St.) from 11am to 6pm.

Early Bird tickets to The Deighton Cup ($65) will be available to the general public as of 9 am on Tuesday, May 10 at www.DeightonCup.com. Partial proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit Variety – The Children’s Charity.

This year, The Deighton Cup opens both the Marquee and Concourse areas as a single, fully integrated VIP experience. Revelers will enjoy full access to both sections, including Miles End Motors Field of Dreams, the picnic area, cigar lounge & the live music performances on the Bulleit Bourbon sound stage. A Southern-meets-Pacific-Rim lunch is also included in the ticket price.

As always, the most stylish man and woman at The Deighton Cup will win the titles of Gallant Sartorialist and Belle du Jour, respectively, alongside a host of terrific prizes. To keep things shaking, the 4^th Annual Cocktail Jockey Mixology Competition will pit the city’s top bartenders against each other for bragging rights and a $1,000 cash prize!

And of course, the centerpiece will be the running of eight heart-stopping horse races, with post time beginning promptly at 1:20 pm.
