Colin Mochrie, Canadian Comedy Icon, Returns to Vancouver for Two Shows, September 23 + 24

Colin Mochrie, Vancouver TheatreSports™ alumnus, and star of Whose Line is it Anyway, returns this September to Vancouver TheatreSports™ (VTSL) for two laugh-packed shows.

COLIN MOCHRIE UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

The first, on Friday, September 23 at 7:30 pm takes place at The Improv Centre, VTSL’s home on Granville Island. Seating only 186 people in a mixture of cabaret and theatre seats, The Improv Centre is a very intimate experience where every seat is a great seat. This is your chance to see Colin up close and catch every expressive comedic nuance. Colin will be joined on stage by some of the stars from the Vancouver TheatreSports ensemble for an evening that is sure to tickle your funny bone. The Improv Centre is fully-licensed and guests are welcome to take their beverages with them into the theatre to enjoy during the show. Prices for this very special evening are $69 for theatre seats and $79 for table and front row bench seats.

Note: The 7:30 pm performance at the Improv Centre is SOLD OUT – an additional show has been added at 9:30 pm on September 23.

THE COLIN MOCHRIE EXPERIENCE

The next night, Saturday, September 24 at 7:30 pm, sees Colin take the stage at the 1200-seat The Vogue Theatre located in the heart of Vancouver’s Entertainment District. This performance once again features the improv master with some of your favourite VTSL players in a free-wheeling improv laugh-fest. The Vogue’s size allows for a wider range of seating options with prices starting from as little as $29 through to premium seats at $69.

Tickets go on sale August 11th – don’t miss out on this limited opportunity to catch one of the world’s great improvisers at his best. Colin’s previous Vancouver appearances have sold out quickly; this year’s return engagement is sure to be one of the hottest tickets of the early fall season.

Both shows benefit the Colin Mochrie Scholarship Fund at VTSL’s theatre school, the Improv Comedy Institute. Established in 2014, the scholarship provides assistance to people wishing to study improv but are unable to do so because of financial barriers.
