A POINT OF PRIDE: VANCOUVER BARS, RESTAURANTS KICK OFF INAUGURAL PRIDE CRAWL FUNDRAISER FOR DR. PETER AIDS FOUNDATION TODAY

Starting today and continuing through August 6, dozens of bars and restaurants across Vancouver will shake up an array of signature cocktails in celebration of the inaugural Pride Crawl Fundraiser in support of the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Throughout the 24-day event, participating establishments will be showing their support by offering Pride-themed cocktails with partial proceeds from the sale of each drink donated directly to the Dr. Peter Centre, a facility in Vancouver’s West End that provides services for British Columbians who face poverty, homelessness, mental illness, addictions and social isolation.

Whether shaken, stirred or served with a twist, each cocktail will not only generate much-needed funds for compassionate HIV care provided by the Dr. Peter Centre but will also raise awareness and champion the LGBTQ2+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Two-Spirited) community that comprises the majority of persons who receive care at the centre.
