La Glace Ice Cream Introduces Seasonal Flavours Worth Giving
La Glace brings delightful French elegance to holiday soirées and cozy winter nights with a festive line-up of seasonal ice creams, pastries, and confections. Classic Yuletide flavours add a dash of tradition and a pinch of whimsy to this holiday collection. Gingerbread cookies, peppermint meringues and marshmallows, cardamom zucchini bundt cake with orange glaze, pain d’épices (spiced gingerbread) loaf, and limited-edition ice cream flavours are available starting Friday, November 24.
Pain d’Épices and Eggnog & Rum join a decadent assortment of La Glace signature ice cream flavours available to take home throughout the winter.This creamy treat can be enjoyed on its own or as the ideal accompaniment to delectable winter baking. Exquisitely packaged in a 500 mL decorative keepsake milk-glass jar and priced at $15, La Glace take-home ice cream makes the perfect host/hostess gift.
“The holidays are such a fun time of year,” says Mark Tagulao, founder and culinary director of La Glace. “I wanted to celebrate the first Christmas season in our shop with flavours that are nostalgic to me and my family.”
Guests can also sip on peppermint hot chocolate while noshing on scoops of Mont Blanc (chestnut and rum) and Candy Cane (peppermint cream and crushed candy cane) ice cream; these ice-cream flavours are exclusively available for enjoyment at the shop. Gift cards and cute custom-made La Glace lapel pins make great stocking stuffers, while take-home ice cream can be bundled with meringues, marshmallows, or miniature cones for sweet culinary gifting.
Open Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, La Glace is centrally located at 2785 West 16th Avenue. For the holiday season, La Glace will also open on Tuesday, December 12 and 19 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with modified hours on December 24 and December 31 (open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm). La Glace Ice Cream will return to regular business hours on January 3, 2018.
