BC Hospitality Foundation Invites Applications for 2018 Hospitality Scholarships

The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is best known for providing financial assistance to hospitality industry members who are facing an extraordinary medical crisis, but the charitable organization also helps develop the next generation of industry members by offering a range of scholarships.  In 2018 the BCHF will again be granting 4 different types of scholarships to individuals pursuing an education in the hospitality field:

• This is a legacy scholarship to support families in the industry.  Up to three Industry Scholarships are available annually for children of hospitality workers whose parents have worked in the industry for more than 5 years, and who are themselves planning a course of study leading to any hospitality diploma or degree.
• Applications are open year-round at https://bchospitalityfoundation.com/scholarships/scholarship-application/.

• Every year, the BCHF awards up to four $1,000 sommelier scholarships to further wine education studies, as part of a mentorship program.  These scholarships are sponsored by Okanagan Crush Pad (OCP) and Authentic Wine & Spirits Merchants. 
• Applications are open January 2^nd – 31^st 2018 at https://bchospitalityfoundation.com/scholarships/sommelier-scholarship-application/.

• Five culinary scholarships are awarded in partnership with the Chefs’ Table Society of BC. The Chefs’ Table Society of BC selects the students and the BCHF funds the scholarships.
• Applications are open January 2^nd – 28^th 2018 at https://bchospitalityfoundation.com/scholarships/bc-culinary-scholarship-application/.

• This scholarship is a result of the collaboration between the BC Hospitality Foundation and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts.
