Red Truck Beer welcomes unsigned local talent to compete for a Truck Stop Concert Series opening slot
Over the three years of Truck Stop Concert Series at East Vancouver’s Red Truck Brewery, the Talent Search program, powered by do604, has offered unsigned local bands the opportunity to showcase their work in front of the fans at these summer music celebrations.
This year, the Talent Search process is being souped-up with the addition of a final showdown at the legendary Railway Stage & Beer Café. The top six artists who make it through the earlier rounds will face off in a battle of the bands on April 17th, with three winners each receiving a Concert Series opening spot. The headline acts for the three Concert Series events will be announced the same night.
The first step for interested musicians is to submit their song, video, and bio to http://do604.com/p/rockthetruckstop between March 5th and March 19th. The long list of opening round entrants will be then whittled down to 25 semi-finalists by a panel of music lovers and experts.
Those semi-finalists will be announced on March 26th, when public voting opens to choose the six finalists. Music fans can vote once a day between March 26th and April 6thwith the six finalists to be announced on April 10th, a week before the big showdown at The Railway Stage. Tickets for the Talent Search Final on April 17th are free and available first-come, first-served at https://www.showpass.com/truck-stop-talent-search-2/.
“We’ve got some great talent booked to play the Truck Stop Concert Series,” said Red Truck Director of Marketing Brian Fong. “We’re looking forward to taking over the legendary Railway Stage on April 17th to announce our headliners and choose our Talent Search winners.”
